ACPAT member of the year 2014: For her work on the MSc course at Hartpury/UWE.
"She has had to (and still does) work VERY hard in this role, and often thanklessly. She also runs her own business, has her own horses and I just don't know how she fits it all in! The course has had teething problems as ALL new courses do and this has served to push Polly to strive harder to achieve her and ACPAT's vision for the course.
She is a passionate member and believes strongly in ACPAT's vision for Animal Physiotherapy. She is a dedicated and outstanding professional as well as a fab and lovely lady."

Polly has always had a passion for animals and wanted to work with them so decided on a career in physiotherapy. She graduated as a Chartered physiotherapist in 1998 from the University of the West of England. For eight years she worked with people, in both the NHS and private practice. She completed a Masters degree in sports physiotherapy from the University College London in 2004. It was during that year that she went to the Olympic games in Athens as a volunteer physiotherapist at the equestrian venue (fulfilling a live long ambition to go to an Olympic games!). It was then that she decided that it was time to pursue her original goal of treating and working with animals. Polly then embarked on the core knowledge and skills course run by ACPAT and up graded to category A status in 2006. Following that she then worked for Amanda Sutton in Winchester at a busy animal physiotherapy practice for a year before starting up her own practice in the Newbury area. Polly is also the programme manager for the MSc in Veterinary Physiotherapy at Hartpury/UWE.

Outside of work you can find Polly eventing her horse, playing with the dog or out with friends.
